Niki was a member of Peace College softball team from 2002-2006. She was a starting pitcher her freshman year, still holding the record for most batters faced in a single season (773). Niki primarily played middle infield, totaling 291 putouts and 268 assists. She played for Head Coach Charlie Dobbins, her father. Niki was named Team Captain (2004, 2005, 2006) and her accolades includeTeam MVP (2003), USA South Academic All-Conference (2003), Defensive Player of the Year (2004), USA South All Conference (2004, 2005, 2006), All State (2005), NFCA All Region (2005, 2006), and NFCA All American (2006). She was also named to the WPU 50th Year Anniversary Softball team in 2014. Niki graduated from Peace with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and a minor in Psychology. She earned her Master's degree in Liberal Studies from N.C. State University in 2011.
