Carson Williams played volleyball for William Peace University (WPU) from 2014-2017. She completed her collegiate volleyball career in 2017 as the University's all-time leader in career digs (2,145) and digs per set (4.79/set), a record that still stands today. Carson also was the total digs leader in NCAA Division III in 2017. While at Peace, she was a two-time USA South All-Conference selection - All-Conference Honorable Mention [2014], All-Conference Second Team [2015], All-Conference First Team [2017] - and a two-time USA South All-East Division selection - Second Team East Division [2016], First Team East Division. Carson was the first player in program history to collect an individual USA South volleyball honor by being named the USA South Libero of the Year in 2017. Carson was also a 1st team selection on the 2017 NCCSIA College Division All-State Volleyball team. Carson was the WPU Jeannie Grey Bierce Most Outstanding Athlete Award winner as well as the USA South Rita Wiggs Woman of the Year Award winner in 2018. Academically, Carson was WPU's 2018 valedictorian, a four-year Dean's Scholar, a three-time graduation marshal, a two-time WPU female scholar-athlete of the year, and a four-time member of the USA South Academic All-Conference Team (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017). Shortly after graduating with a bachelor's degree in psychology, Carson continued to pursue her education, obtaining her doctoral degree in occupational therapy in 2021 from Methodist University. Additionally, with long-term career goals of specializing with the maternal-infant population, Carson also became a postpartum doula as well as a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist to best serve infants and mothers in the immediate postpartum period.
