Hall of Fame
Since graduating in 1954 with her Associate of Arts degree from Peace College, Fay Jackson Anderson ’54 has created a humbling legacy of enthusiasm, support, and service. As a student, Mrs. Anderson was a dedicated and talented basketball player (1952-54), and after graduating, she became an active community leader, exemplifying a life of purpose, excellence, and service.
As an involved and engaged alumna, and a sports enthusiast, Mrs. Anderson regularly attends Peace College Basketball games and alumnae events. She generously supports the Pacer Athletics Program as a Peace Pacers Club “Hall of Fame” member and previously served as a member of the “Peace Pride” Athletic Committee.
In 2005, Mrs. Anderson was recognized with the Distinguished Service Award for her lifetime commitment to her alma mater. The same year, she and her late husband, W. Edward Anderson, established the W. Ed &Fay Jackson Anderson Athletic Endowment fund at the College. Today, the fund provides support for and enhances the athletics program and its facilities. Additionally, in 2005-2006, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson provided renovation funds for the Hermann Student Center.
Mrs. Anderson has served the College and its students as a Trustee on the Peace College Board of Directors (2006-2012) and is a former member of the College’s board of Visitors (2000-2006). She has served on multiple fundraising committees, including working as a Class Agent (1999-2000, 2002-2003), and she is also a member of College’s planned giving society, The Heritage Society, and annually retains membership in the President’s Circle Society through her generous support of The Loyalty Fund.
1992, due to their lifetime of generosity, Mrs. Anderson and her late husband became members of the most prestigious leadership society at the College, the William Peace Society.
Mrs. Anderson was inducted into the Peace College Athletics Hall of Fame on April 9, 2011
