RALEIGH, N.C. - William Peace softball saw its season come to a close Friday after falling to Methodist, 4-0, in an elimination game of the USA South Tournament.
The Pacers finished the year 18-22 overall and 6-12 in conference play after earning the No. 6 seed in the tournament. William Peace totaled nine hits in the matchup, led by Taylor Byrd, who went 4-for-4 at the plate. Alli Bordwine added two hits, while Reagan Stewart, Isabelle Olson and Allison Burlew each recorded one.
Stewart threw a complete game in the circle, allowing eight hits and three earned runs while striking out two.
The Pacers will look to build on the season heading into next year.
