RALEIGH, N.C. - William Peace softball celebrated its 2026 senior class of seven Saturday in the team's final home conference doubleheader of the season against Greensboro. The Pacers honored Reagan Stewart, Marissa Fuller, Peyton Langley, Caroline Burdsal, Hannah Cron, Cierra Lear, and Haley Joyce prior to the games and now await USA South Tournament seeding for postseason play next week.
In game one, Marissa Fuller recorded a hit, while Taylor Byrd and Alli Bordwine also collected hits for the Pacers. Haley Joyce made the Senior Day start in the circle.
In game two, several seniors made key contributions offensively. Cierra Lear went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a walk, Reagan Stewart reached base three times with a hit and two walks while scoring twice, and Marissa Fuller delivered a pinch-hit two-run single during a four-run fourth inning. Hannah Cron added a run scored after entering as a pinch runner, while Peyton Langley saw action late in the game.
William Peace now turns its focus to the upcoming USA South Tournament as the Pacers await official playoff seeding.
