CARY, N.C. - William Peace fell in a quick turnaround game Thursday afternoon, dropping a 12-5 game to FDU Florham at WakeMed Park. The Pacers move to 7-4 overall.
Peace kept things within reach early, trailing just 5-3 at halftime after goals from William English and Caleb Garey helped close the gap. Derrick Buchanan brought the Pacers within one midway through the third quarter, but The Devils pulled away in the final period.
English led the offense with two goals and an assist, while Garey added a goal and an assist. Buchanan and Brandon Goad each found the back of the net, and Tyler Rutherford contributed two assists.
Defensively, Carson McGee recorded 16 saves in goal.
"It's great to have a bunch of competitive out of region games to see a variety of play styles." head Coach Troy Humphrey said after the game. "FDU is extremely well coached and gave us a lot to work on moving forward as we look ahead to another conference game this Saturday."
William Peace will look to bounce back on the road Saturday, March 21 at Brevard.
