CARY, N.C. - William Peace dropped its first USA South Conference contest of the season Saturday afternoon, falling to Huntingdon 15-4 at WakeMed Park. The Pacers move to 7-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
Huntingdon struck early with three goals in the opening quarter and extended its lead to 5-1 by halftime. The Hawks used a strong third quarter to pull away, scoring six goals to take control of the game.
Connor Barnes got the Pacers on the board in the second quarter with an unassisted goal. William English later connected on a man up opportunity with an assist from Barnes, while Aidan McNeely and Brandon Goad each added goals in the second half.
Barnes led the team with two points on a goal and an assist, while English, McNeely, and Goad each found the back of the net once. In goal, Carson McGee finished with 13 saves.
William Peace will look to bounce back at home on Wednesday, March 18 when it hosts Methodist.
