RALEIGH, N.C. - William Peace women's basketball dropped a close USA South Conference contest on Saturday, falling 58-54 to Southern Virginia at the Herman Student Center. The loss moves the Pacers to 12-9 overall and 9-5 in conference play.
The game featured multiple lead changes throughout, with both teams trading momentum down the stretch. William Peace held a narrow advantage in the second half, but Southern Virginia responded late, pulling ahead in the final minutes to secure the win.
Zikira Henderson led the Pacers with 17 points, while Ensley Perry added 14 points on three made three pointers. Amiah Griffin contributed eight points and six rebounds, and Zakoreya Davis added seven rebounds and three blocks.
William Peace will look to rebound in its next conference match up on Wednesday, February 11, at Meredith.
