RALEIGH, N.C. - William Peace secured a 64-60 win over Greensboro on Saturday afternoon at the Hermann Athletic Center, improving to 14-9 overall and 11-5 in USA South play.
The game featured nine ties and nine lead changes in a tight back-and-forth battle throughout. Peace led 19-14 after the first quarter, but Greensboro answered in the second to take a narrow 38-37 lead into halftime.
The Pacers regained control in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Pride 14-8 over the final 10 minutes to close out the win.
Alayna Randolph led Peace with 15 points and six rebounds. Zikira Henderson added 12 points and seven rebounds, while Amiah Griffin recorded a double-double with 10 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Ensley Perry finished with eight points and five rebounds.
As a team, Peace shot 41.9 percent from the field and converted 8-of-9 free throws. The Pacers also held a 47-42 rebounding advantage and scored 20 points off turnovers.
William Peace returns to action next week as they travel to Pfeiffer for a 5 p.m. match up.
