WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - William Peace women's basketball delivered a clutch performance on Tuesday night, pulling away late to earn a 65-62 conference road win over Salem College. The victory lifts the Pacers to 7-6 overall and 4-2 in USA South play.

The game was tightly contested throughout, featuring multiple ties and lead changes across all four quarters. Neither team led by more than a few possessions until the closing moments, when Peace made its move and gained control.

With just under 40 seconds remaining and the Pacers trailing by one, Zikira Henderson drilled a go-ahead three-pointer to swing the momentum. Following a defensive stop, Henderson came up with a steal and calmly knocked down two free throws to extend the lead, sealing the win in the final seconds as Peace closed the game on a decisive run.

Henderson finished with 16 points, five assists, and four rebounds, including all five of Peace's final points in the last 33 seconds. Zakoreya Davis posted a strong all-around night with 15 points and eight rebounds, while Ensley Perry added nine points and four rebounds. Jess Worthey continued her strong return with eight points and five rebounds, and Kristin Barber chipped in seven points off the bench.

William Peace outscored Salem 22-18 in the fourth quarter and held the Spirits scoreless over the final 30 seconds.

The Pacers will look to carry the momentum forward as they return to the road on Saturday, January 10, traveling to face Brevard in another USA South match up.
