Allentown, Pa. – William Peace volleyball picked up back-to-back wins on Friday to open play at the Buttermaker Tournament, hosted by Muhlenberg College. The Pacers outlasted Randolph-Macon in a five-set battle before sweeping Hunter in straight sets to close out the night.
In the opener, Peace battled through momentum swings to earn a 3–2 victory over Randolph-Macon (14–25, 25–23, 25–19, 21–25, 15–12). Aubrey Chesson led with 14 kills on a .368 hitting percentage and added a pair of service aces. Sarah Yates reached double-digit kills, while Maegan Brylski led the offense with 44 assists and a match-high 13 digs.
Peace controlled the second match from start to finish in a sweep of Hunter (25–21, 25–12, 25–19). Aaliyah Anderson paced the attack with eight kills on .313 hitting, while Tameka Adams added five kills at .556. Brylski continued to direct the offense with 15 assists and two service aces, while AJ Townsend provided a spark off the bench with three kills and three aces.
With the pair of wins, William Peace improves to 5–6 overall and carries momentum into the second day of tournament play.
