ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. – William Peace women's volleyball picked up a 3-1 win over N.C. Wesleyan on Wednesday night to improve to 8-5 overall and 3-1 in USA South play.
The Pacers won the first two sets 25-14 and 25-20. N.C. Wesleyan took the third 33-31 before Peace won the fourth 25-21. The Pacers finished with 56 kills, 10 service aces and 74 digs.
Aaliyah Anderson led Peace with 15 kills, while Aubrey Chesson finished with 12 kills and eight digs. Jordyn Chinigo recorded nine kills on a .409 hitting percentage and two blocks, and Olivia Smith added eight kills.
Emily Thompson recorded 21 assists, 10 digs and four service aces, while Layla Farmer finished with 19 assists and seven digs. Gracie Payne had a team-high 15 digs and three aces, while Savannah Hairr and Katie Arens each added 11 digs.
The Pacers return home to Raleigh on Friday for the Peace Tri-Match, facing Southern Virginia at 3 p.m. and Salem College at 7 p.m.
