RALEIGH, N.C. – William Peace University head women's volleyball coach Hannah Marshall has been selected as a 2025 inductee into the Westminster College Blue Jay Hall of Fame, recognizing her outstanding career as a student-athlete and her continued impact on the sport of volleyball. The induction ceremony will take place next weekend at her alma mater in Fulton, Missouri.
Marshall was a four-year standout for Westminster's women's volleyball program, graduating in 2018 as one of the most decorated players in program history. She was named the 2015 SLIAC Player of the Year, earned three First Team All-Conference honors, and was later recognized as a member of the SLIAC All-Decade Team. She remains the program's all-time leader in kills (1,317) and service aces (248) in the rally-scoring era.
After completing her bachelor's degree in exercise science with minors in nutrition and public health, Marshall earned a master's degree in athletic training from Trinity International University, where she also served as a graduate assistant with the women's volleyball program. Her coaching career has also included roles with both the women's and men's programs at Lincoln College.
Marshall arrived at William Peace in 2022 and is now in her fourth season leading the Pacers. Under her guidance, Peace has posted record-setting campaigns and earned multiple USA South Conference Tournament appearances. In addition to her collegiate coaching success, she contributes to the growth of the sport at the club level, coaching a national team and serving as a pod leader with Carolina Advantage Volleyball.
In 2023, Marshall was honored nationally as an AVCA "30 Under 30" Award recipient and continues to serve on NCAA and AVCA committees dedicated to advancing the game.
"I am super honored by this recognition and was genuinely shocked by the call." Marshall said. "I wouldn't have had this opportunity without Curtis Madson, my coach, and all of my teammates who pushed each other day in and out to be the best competitors. Westminster Volleyball shaped me into the person I am today and is a huge reason why I chose to go back to D3 athletics; I strive to give student-athletes the experience I had and then some!"
"What awesome recognition for Hannah for her tremendous career as a student-athlete at Westminster." Athletic Director Claude Shield said. "We are proud to celebrate her this weekend and glad that our student-athletes get to learn the game from a Hall of Famer!"
The 2025 Hall of Fame class will be formally celebrated during Westminster's Homecoming Weekend.
