CARY, NC — William Peace women's lacrosse returned to home turf Saturday afternoon, but a dominant Brevard offense proved too much to overcome, as the Pacers fell 17-0 in USA South action.
Brevard (6-4, 4-1 USA South) came out firing, scoring five goals in the first quarter. William Peace (1-5, 1-5 USA South) was held without a goal despite a strong effort from goalkeeper Aryal Brandon, who recorded 12 saves on 29 shots on goal.
The Pacers won seven draw controls and successfully cleared on 8-of-10 attempts. Liv Kanalis and Mackenzie Kirk showed bright spots defensively, each recording multiple ground balls and causing turnovers.
The Pacers will look to regroup and bounce back in their next contest as they continue conference play visiting Methodist on Tuesday April 8th.
