Baseball Split Doubleheader at Pfeiffer

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – William Peace University baseball wrapped up its 2025 season with a doubleheader split against Pfeiffer University on Saturday afternoon at Joe Ferebee Field. The Pacers dropped the opener 8-3 before finishing the year on a high note with a 23-9 win in Game Two.

In Game One, William Peace built a 3-1 lead in the early innings thanks to RBI from Gavin Turner, Ian Turner, and Jacob Cace. However, Pfeiffer rallied late, plating two runs in the sixth and five more in the seventh to take control.

Jack McIntosh turned in a solid start on the mound but was tagged with the loss. Offensively, Gavin Turner paced the Pacers with a pair of hits, while Adam Joseph and Justin Earle each added a double.

The Pacers bounced back in Game Two with their most explosive offensive performance of the season. William Peace scored 23 runs on 18 hits, posting seven-run frames in both the third and fifth innings to blow the game open.

Alex Levesque starred at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two home runs and nine RBI — one of the best single-game showings in program history. Dalton Frasier added four hits, while Adam Joseph turned in a 4-for-5 day with three RBI. Jarrett Hall earned the win on the mound, striking out nine over 5.2 innings.

With the split, William Peace concludes the 2025 campaign with a 13-26 overall record and an 8-13 mark in USA South Conference play, narrowly missing out on a postseason berth.
