RALEIGH, N.C. – William Peace hosted Southern Virginia and Pfeiffer in a USA South tri-match inside Hermann Athletic Center on Friday night.
The Pacers opened the day against Southern Virginia, falling 3-0 (25-17, 25-12, 25-16). Jordyn Chinigo led with five kills and a block assist, while Aubrey Chesson and Caitlin Bailey added eight and five kills, respectively. Maegan Brylski collected 20 assists and tallied nine digs, and Gracie Payne earned 10 digs.
In the last match, the Pacers came out strong but ultimately dropped a 3-1 match to Pfeiffer (25-22, 25-27, 17-25, 25-21). Chesson led the attack with 13 kills and 18 digs, while Tameka Adams added 10 kills and three blocks. Brylski recorded 41 assists and 13 digs, and Payne again held down the defense with a match-high 34 digs.
William Peace stands at 14-14 overall record and 7-9 mark in USA South play.
