RALEIGH, N.C. – The William Peace University volleyball team capped off Senior Day with one of their biggest wins of the season, taking down Methodist University 3-1 (13-25, 25-19, 25-13, 25-22) inside the Hermann Gymnasium. The victory marks a key conference win for the Pacers, who improve to 9-12 overall and 2-7 in USA South play.
Prior to first serve, the Pacers honored their three seniors: Maegan Brylski, AJ Townsend, and Tameka Adams, for their leadership, commitment, and impact on the program.
After dropping the opening set, Peace responded quickly, dominating the next two sets. Aubrey Chesson led the attack with 10 kills, while Sarah Yates and Caitlin Bailey added eight apiece. Adams played well at the net, finishing with seven kills, two blocks, and nine total points.
Brylski ran the offense with 27 assists and added 17 digs, while Gracie Payne contributed 20 digs on the defensive end.
The Pacers carried that momentum into the fourth set, holding off Methodist to close out the match and secure the win on their home court.
They will return to action on Wednesday, October 22nd for a double header against Mary Baldwin.
