RALEIGH, N.C. - The William Peace volleyball team dropped a 3-0 match to Salem College on Friday night inside Hermann Athletic Center, (19-25, 18-25, 16-25).
The Pacers kept things close early, trading leads through the opening set before the Spirits pulled away late behind in the match. Despite strong defensive play and consistent effort throughout the night, Peace was unable to slow down a Salem attack that finished with a .313 hitting percentage.
Aubrey Chesson led the Pacers offensively with 14 kills while hitting .367. Maegan Brylski tallied 24 assists and 17 digs, while Gracie Payne and Savannah Hairr added eight and five digs respectively.
As a team, Peace totaled 35 kills, six service aces, and 55 digs.
The Pacers (8-11, 1-6 USA South) will look to bounce back as they continue USA South play next week.
