Tubolino Smacks Three-Run Homer In Pacers' Loss To N.C. Wesleyan

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. – Nick Tubolino smacked a three-run homer for William Peace in a 12-4 USA South baseball loss to nationally-ranked N.C. Wesleyan at Bauer Field on Friday.

Tubolino hit his first homer of the season over the left center field fence to get the Pacers within 5-4 in the top of the sixth inning. N.C. Wesleyan, ranked 22nd in the nation, scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and three runs in the eighth inning to push their lead to 12-4.

Tubolino batted 3-for-4 and Jake Dacunto went 3-for-3 with a double and one run scored for the Pacers, who tallied 10 hits. Alex Levesque went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

The Pacers took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on Adam Joseph's sacrifice fly.

Both teams play each other again on Saturday in the second of a three-game conference series. The first pitch is at 3 p.m.
