RALEIGH, NC -- William Peace University volleyball went 2-0 on day two of the Margie Knight Classic, defeating Drew by a score of 3-0 and Stevenson by a score of 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One
Set one would be tied early 7-7 on a kill from
Hannah Collier. Kills from
Kelsey Bierbauer and a few aces from
Maegan Brylski would give the Pacers a 15-9 lead. Kills from
Landis Limon and
Chassie Jacops would put the Pacers up 21-14, while a final ace from Brylski would end the set 25-16.
The Pacers would dominate in the second set, with kills from Bierbauer and
Georgia Grace Anderson would put them up 10-4. A huge run with kills from Anderson and Collier would put the Pacers up 21-6, with the Pacers winning the set 25-8 on an attack error.
The Pacers would take a big 13-5 lead in the third set, with kills from Collier, Anderson, and
Madeline Simpson giving them a 19-9 lead. A late three-point run with an ace from
Logan Moore would end the set 25-15 and give the Pacers the first win of the season.
Game Two
The Pacers would get up 12-8 on aces from Moore and kills from Simpson and Anderson. A run from Stevenson would tie the game 15-15. The Mustangs would take a late 21-19 lead, with a late run giving them the set 25-21.
The Mustangs would take a 15-11 lead in the second set. A kill from
Landis Limon would cut the score to 18-16. The Pacers would rally with kills from Bierbauer and blocks from Anderson to take a 22-21 lead. The Mustangs would tie it 26-26 before a kill from Limon and an ace from
Audrey Spindle would end the set 29-27 and put the game at 1-1.
An early run in the third set would give WPU a 7-0 lead. Kills from Limon and Simpson would put the score at 14-6, while kills from Jacops and Collier would give the Pacers a 21-11 lead. A final kill from Anderson would end the set at 25-16.
In the final set, kills from Bierbauer and Anderson would put the score at 14-10 in favor of the Pacers. The Mustangs would tie it 17-17 before kills from Bierbauer and a block from Anderson would regain a 23-17 lead for the Pacers. A final kill from Anderson and an attack error would end the set 25-20 and the game 3-1.
