ROCKY MOUNT, NC -- William Peace University baseball fell by a score of 8-4 in the USA South Conference Championship. The Pacers set a new program record this season for wins in a single season, totaling 25, while also making the conference championship for the first time in program history.

KEY POINTS
- The opening four innings would be a pitching battle as neither team would be able to get on the scoreboard. NCWU would take a 1-0 lead at the top of the 5th with a single to center field. In the bottom of the 6th, Nick Tyler would score on a wild pitch, while a single from Patrick Rogan would score Brett Kemp for a 2-1 lead.
- NCWU would have a big 8th inning, scoring on two errors, one double, and two singles to take a late 8-2 lead. The Pacers would rally in the bottom of the 9th, with Sean Roseborough scoring on a walk from Brett Kemp and Ian Turner scoring on a single from Cameron Butler, but they would be unable to complete the rally and would fall 8-4.
