KEY POINTS
- A double and a throwing error in the bottom of the first would give the Hornets a 2-0 lead. A single in the 2nd would increase their lead to 3-0.
- In the third, a wild pitch and a balk would bring in Brett Kemp and Hunter Ward to cut the Hornets' lead to 3-2. A double to left center from Jake Dacunto would score Patrick Rogan to tie it 3-3, but a homerun from the Hornets would give them a 4-3 advantage.
- In the 5th, Rogan would steal home to tie it 4-4, though the Hornets would again go up 5-4 in the bottom of the inning. A single from Jacob Norris and a sac fly from Sean Roseborough in the 7th would give the Pacers a 6-5 lead. Lynchburg would tie it 6-6 with a triple to right field.
- Neither team would score in the 8th, and the Hornets would hold the Pacers at the top of the 9th before scoring on a wild pitch to win the game 7-6.
