KEY POINTS
- The Monarchs would take an early 2-0 lead at the top of the 1st before a sacrifice fly from Hunter Ward would bring the score to 2-1. In the bottom of the 2nd, a single from Nick Tyler and a sacrifice fly from Jake Dacunto would put the Pacers up 3-2.
- A single from Cameron Butler in the bottom of the 3rd would give the Pacers a 4-2 lead. Methodist would tie it 4-4 at the top of the 6th before taking a brief 5-4 lead, but a sacrifice fly from Cameron Barefoot in the bottom of the 6th would even the score 5-5.
- A big 7th inning with doubles from Patrick Rogan and Cameron Butler, a walk for Cameron Barefoot, and a sacrifice fly from Nick Tyler, would give the Pacers a 10-5 lead. The Monarchs would rally at the top of the 8th with a few big hits to tie it 10-10.
- The game would be forced into extra innings, and the Monarchs would take an 11-10 lead on a single at the top of the 10th. The Pacers were unable to rally in the bottom of the inning and would fall 11-10.
