RALEIGH, NC -- William Peace University women's basketball fell 54-50 to crosstown rival Meredith.
THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first quarter would start out as a back-and-forth contest, with a layup from Ninevah Reddick and a jumper from Elisha Aull putting the Pacers up 9-5. Meredith would tie it 9-9 before a layup from Aull and a free throw from Barnes would regain a 12-9 lead. A late 3-pointer from Mock would send the Pacers into the second with a 15-10 lead.
- A few early jumpers from Aull and Mock would keep the Pacers ahead 21-17. Meredith would continue to rally, but two 3-pointers from Aull would send the Pacers into halftime with a 27-22 lead.
- Myla Barnes would add an early layup, with Aull adding a free throw, to increase the Pacer lead to 30-24 early in the 3rd. A few free throws and a jumper from Mock would bring the score to 34-28. Kate Perko would bring Meredith within one as her free throws put the score at 36-35, but another 3-pointer from Mock would increase the Pacer lead to 39-35. A jumper from Aull would put the score at 41-38 heading into the final quarter.
- In the final quarter, two layups from Mock would put the Pacers up 45-40. Meredith would rally to briefly take a 46-45 lead before a 3-pointer from Reddick would put the Pacers ahead 48-46. A layup from Aull would tie it 50-50, but a few late stops from the Avenging Angels would put them ahead late to take a 54-50 win over the Pacers.
