LYNCHBURG, VA -- William Peace University men's basketball took down Berea College 77-69 following a strong second half from the Pacers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the first half, the Wildcats would hold the Pacers early to lead by a score of 17-4. A layup and free throw from Timothy Pettiford would cut the lead to 17-7. The Wildcats would gain a 23-7 lead before a few layups and free throws from Pettiford would bring the score to 23-12. Pettiford would add a shot from behind the arc as the Pacers trailed 30-19. A few layups and 3-pointers from Tyler Parton and Logan Wheeler would cut the lead to 39-31, with the Wildcats heading into halftime with a 43-33 lead.
- The Pacers would battle early in the second half, with a 3-pointer from Matthijis Van Staalduinen, a layup from Tyler Parton, and a 3-pointer from Michael Dulin putting them within 4 as they trailed 48-44. Another shot from behind the arc from Dulin would put the score at 56-51 as the Pacers trailed by just 5. The Wildcats would go on a run to lead 66-55. Layups from William Jenkins and Michael Dulin would put the score at 75-62, though the Wildcats would go on another run to lead 80-62. Logan Wheeler would add a late shot from the foul line, but the Wildcats would go on to win 89-65.
