RALEIGH, NC -- The William Peace University Athletics Department is excited to announce CJ Fowler as the Director of Track & Field and Cross Country.

Fowler comes to the Pacers from Spring Arbor University, where he served as the Head Coach of the men's and women's track & field programs. Prior to his time at Spring Arbor, Fowler was the Sprints and Relays Coach at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. 

Fowler was excited to join the Pacers, saying, " I am excited for the opportunity to lead the track and cross country programs. I'd like to thank the hiring committee for making me feel at home during the process. Investing in young adults is my passion. I thank God I get to wake up every day and pour into the student-athletes at WPU. Let's go Pacers!"

Athletic Director Tom Curle stated, "I am excited for our student-athletes as we announce the hiring of CJ Fowler.  He will bring a high level of positive energy to our program and our University.  I am confident that he will serve as an outstanding mentor, coach and leader for the members of our track and field and cross country teams. "

Fowler graduated from the University of North Texas and also received a Master's degree from Texas A&M at Commerce. At the University of North Texas, Fowler earned three Sun Belt Conference gold medals, five All-Sun Belt Conference sprinter awards, and qualified for nationals six times.
