Raleigh, NC -- The William Peace University women's soccer team fell to Meredith College by a score of 1-0. Junior Lillian Fox would score the winning goal for the Angels, giving them their first win of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Gabrielle Jones would get the game started quick for the Pacers as her shot hits the crossbar letting the angels know that they mean business. Shooting would go back and forth between the Pacers and the Angels with both keepers making incredible saves to keep their respective teams in the game. A corner kick by Raine Greene would be followed by a shot from Lillian Bates that would go just above the goal. The game would remain scoreless heading into halftime.

In the start of the second half, the Pacers were caught off guard by a shot from Lillian Fox that would see the ball in the back of the net for the Angels. The Pacers did not let up as they would see to it that the Angels would not get another chance on goal for the rest of the game. The Pacers would get 8 more chances on goal but they were unable to find the back of the net as Meredith walked away with the home victory.

• Victoria Finklea had 4 shots on goal for the Pacers
• Kasey Wilkins made 4 saves in goal for the Pacers.
