Warlick And Albright Fire Pacers Past Brevard

The Basics:

  • Final Score: William Peace 17 Brevard 16

  • Records: William Peace 4-6 Brevard 3-5

  • Location: Holly Springs, NC

How It Happened:

  • The Tornados went up early after a Jackson McKaig found Hewitt Farr for the first goal of the game.

  • It would be a back and forth affair as Brewer Warlick brought the score level at 1-1.

  • Sean Pratt would put the Tornados back in front 30 seconds later.

  • The Pacers would answer with back to back goals from Anthony Florian and Adrian Brown to take a 3-2 lead.

  • Jackson McKing would fire the Tornados back into the lead with back to back goals as Brevard now led 4-3.

  • With time winding down in the first period Dalton Albright and Adrian Brown put the Pacers in front 5-4.

  • Brevard would tie the game at 5 as Hewitt Farr found the back of the net on a man up opportunity.

  • Brevard and Peace would exchange goals back-and-forth until 8-8.

  • To start the second half, the Pacers would go on a 4 goal run with goals by Nick Falso (2), Brewer Warlick (man up), and Tre Galligan (man up).

  • The Pacers dominated the 3rd quarter with goals by Brewer Warlick and Walker Rice to bring the score to 14-9.

  • In the start of the 4th quarter, the Pacers and Tornados would trade goals to bring the score to 17-13.

  • The Tornados caught a second wind battling back with 3 unanswered goals to make for an exciting finish. Nick Shelton would stand tall in goal as the Pacers held on for 17-16 win.

  • Jackson McKaig finished with 4 goals, 6 assists and and 4 ground balls

  • Hewitt Farr added a game high 6 goals

  • Sam Duffie had 3 goals to go along with 1 assists, and 4 ground balls

The Pacers return to the field on Wednesday March 27, 2019 as they head to Ashland ,VA  to match up against Randolph Macon College at 7:00pm.
