RALEIGH, NC -- The William Peace University men's lacrosse team will head to Farmville, VA in their final game of the season April 18th, 2018 to face Hampden-Sydney College. The Pacers (5-9) will face the Tigers (10-4) following a tough 20-12 loss to Chowan University.
Three Pacers Honored By USA South: Tanner Brown, Austin Abourjilie, and Anthony Florian were recognized by the USA South Conference for their play in WPU's inaugural season. Tanner Brown was named to the USA South All-Sportsmanship team, Austin Abourjilie was designated as Rookie of the Year at attack, and Anthony Florian was named to the USA South Second Team All-Conference at midfield.
Between the Posts: Freshman goalkeeper Nick Shelton continues to be strong in net for the Pacers with five wins on the season. He now has 164 saves with a 49.2 save percentage.
Scouting Hampden-Sydney College: The Tigers are coming off a big 20-7 win over Shenandoah University, where leading scorer Ian Levin tallied 4 goals. Levin has 35 goals on the season and a total of 60 points. Goalkeeper Mitch Renfrow has 10 wins on the season with a 53.4 save percentage.
