CARY, N.C. - William Peace dropped a USA South match up at home Saturday, falling to defending conference champion Pfeiffer 30-4 at WakeMed Park. The Pacers move to 8-7 overall and 1-5 in conference play.
Pfeiffer came out fast, building an early lead in the first quarter and carrying that momentum into halftime. The Pacers found some rhythm in the second quarter with goals from Caleb Garey and Brandon Goad, but were unable to slow down the Falcons' offense.
Goad led the Pacers with two goals, while Garey and Aidan McNeely each added a goal. McNeely also recorded an assist, and Logan Willis and Tyler Rutherford each contributed as well.
Defensively, Carson McGee recorded 16 saves as the Pacers faced a high volume of shots. Caden Tuthill added three ground balls and a caused turnover.
William Peace will look to bounce back on Tuesday, April 14 when it returns home to host Southern Virginia.
