Raleigh, NC -- The William Peace University men's lacrosse team will host Wilmington College on Wednesday night at 5 p.m at Ting Park in Holly Springs, NC.
The Pacers are coming off a 17-13 loss to Huntingdon College, the top team in the USA South Conference. The Saturday loss gave the Pacers a (2-5) overall record and a (0-3) record in the conference.
Abourjilie Leads the Pacers: Austin Abourjilie continues to lead the Pacers offensively as he added four more goals against the Hawks, bringing his overall total to 19. The Pacers will look to him in the game against the Quakers to set the pace. WPU will also look to Anthony Florian and Nick Falso, who have 12 and 11 goals, respectively, to lead the team on Wednesday.
Between the Pipes: Freshman goalie Nick Shelton has made some key saves for the Pacers thus far. He currently has 85 saves on the season and has a 48.6 save percentage after 7 games.
Scouting Wilmington College: Wilmington is currently (1-1) overall, having recently won 21-0 over Earlham College. In that game, Jhordan Lang scored 6 goals, with goalie Jake Ladendorf in net for the shutout. Lang and Connor Judge lead the team with 7 goals apiece, with the team averaging 13.5 goals per game.
