Raleigh, NC -- The William Peace University men's lacrosse team will travel to Greensboro College for a midweek USA South Conference matchup against the Pride. The Pacers are currently (1-2) overall and (0-1) in the conference, while the Pride arrives with a (1-3) overall record and (1-0) conference record.
The Pacers are coming off a 8-4 loss to Ferrum College on February 24th. Anthony Florian, Michael Meley, and Austin Abourjilie (2) tallied the four goals for WPU, while goalkeeper Nick Shelton had 11 saves in net. Abourjilie currently leads the team with 9 goals in three games. The Pacers amassed 4 penalties in the game, allowing Ferrum to score once on the extra man opportunity.
A game against Averett University on the 24th of February resulted in 18-2 win for the Pride, their first of the season. Ryan Cole scored 3 goals, with Joseph Stump, Austin Bane, Andrew Klementz, Spencer Kontoulas, and Michael Halladay adding 2 each. Davis Miller leads the Pride with 7 goals in his 4 games played.
