Pacers Drop a tough one in Misenheimer

Misenheimer, NC -- The William Peace University men's basketball team dropped a tough game to a very strong Pfeiffer Falcons team by a final score of 63-106.

It was a tough afternoon for the Pacers as Camden Ferguson put WPU first on the board with a long three, Pfeiffer's Josh Calhoun would answer right back with a three of his own. The first half got off to a rather sloppy start with both team turning the ball over in numerous possessions. Trey Bryant would go 3-3 in the first half adding six points for the Pacers. WPU would continue to fight for points in the first half but would not have an answer for Josh Calhoun who scored 17 of his 46 points in the first half. The Pacers did outshoot the Falcons in the first half shooting 46% from the field to the Falcons 45%.

The Pacers struggled with Pfeiffer's full court press for most of the afternoon causing WPU to turn the ball over 19 times in the game. In the second half Trey Bryant would score 14 of his 20 points but it was not the Pacers afternoon as the Falcons, led by the hot hand of Josh Calhoun, would outscore the Pacers 60-37 in the second half alone.
