RALEIGH, NC – The William Peace University women's basketball team was crowned champions of the Jackie Ammons Memorial Tournament on Saturday, snapping a five year drought with a 56-40 win over Agnes Scott.
"It's a great feeling to come away with a pair of wins this weekend and to finally bring the trophy back home after way too long," said head coach
Kelly Johnson. "I can't begin to thank Fred and the Ammons family enough for their continued support in making this weekend possible the last 16 years."
