GREENSBORO, NC – The William Peace University volleyball team was back on the road Tuesday night, traveling to face non-conference opponent Guilford College, where the Pacers snapped a three-game skid with a 3-0 victory.

WPU (12-7) also claimed the season series with their second win against the Quakers (4-11) in three matches this year. The Pacers took the first set, 25-17, before closing Guilford out, 25-20 and 25-19, in the final two.

The Pacers hit .347 as a team and posted 45 kills, their best three-set total this season, while Guilford racked up 18 attack errors for a .143 hitting percentage. WPU held a significant edge with 52 digs to the Quakers' 35. The Pacers also put up six total blocks compared to only one for Guilford.

Tempestt Frazier led the Pacers' attack with 10 kills at a .600 clip, which puts her atop the USA South with a .331 percentage on the year. Frazier also paced WPU defensively with five block assists. Connor Davis added seven kills, six digs and a pair of service aces. Laura Bland finished with seven kills, four digs and two block assists. Merica Ivey had five kills and three block assists.

Liana Solomon registered 20 assists, five kills, three digs, a service ace and a block assist, while Kennedey Paine posted 14 assists, five digs, three kills and a service ace. Carson Williams recorded 14 digs, three assists and a service ace. Maddie Irvin was right behind her with 13 digs and three assists.

The WPU volleyball team will be back in Greensboro on Thursday, as they jump back into conference play against the Pride of Greensboro for a 7:00 p.m. match.
