Virginia Fitch joined the William Peace University Athletics in the Fall of 2020 as the Assistant Volleyball Coach.

Coach Fitch was a middle blocker for both American University and East Carolina University. While at American University, she was a member of the 2010 and 2011 Patriot League Champions and made two NCAA Tournament appearance. While at ECU, she helped the team reach program history with the most wins in a season during the 2013 season. She also lead the team in solo blocks and block assists during her junior and senior seasons.

Coach Fitch began her coaching career as a Junior Varsity Volleyball Coach at Sanderson High School. She also coached for NC Elite Volleyball Club, where she was both an Assistant Coach and Head Coach for various teams since 2012. Most recently, Coach Fitch was the Assistant Volleyball Coach at Saint Mary's School for both Varsity and Junior Varsity. During the 2018 season, she coached the Varsity team to the first round of state playoffs.
