William Peace University

Jake Norris enters his fifth season as an assistant coach with the William Peace University baseball program in 2027, working primarily with the hitters and infielders while also serving as the Pacers’ third base coach.

A Wake Forest, North Carolina native and Wakefield High School graduate, Norris played catcher for the Pacers from 2018-2022. During his playing career, he posted a .991 fielding percentage with only five passed balls and helped lead the program to both its first USA South Conference Tournament appearance and the winningest season in program history at the time.

Norris began his coaching career at William Peace in 2023 and immediately helped guide the Pacers to a record breaking season and the program’s first USA South Conference Championship Series appearance. He was also part of the coaching staff that led the Pacers back to the USA South Championship Series in 2026.

In the summer of 2025, Norris coached with the Wake Forest Fungo of the Old North State League, continuing to build experience in player development and game management.

Norris brings extensive familiarity with the program along with strong experience in defensive development, offensive preparation, and on field leadership.
