CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The William Peace University men's soccer team fell 10-2 to Division I Queens University of Charlotte Tuesday night at Queens Sports Complex.
Queens opened the scoring in the eighth minute and built an 8-0 lead through the first 30 minutes of play.
The Pacers got on the board just before halftime when Eder Acevedo Delgado found the back of the net in the 45th minute, sending Peace into the break trailing 8-1.
Peace added its second goal in the 58th minute as Zach Marlier scored on a free kick just outside the box to make it 8-2. Queens answered with two goals later in the half to close out the scoring.
Acevedo Delgado and Marlier each recorded their first goals of the season for the Pacers. Roberto Rayo and Jackson Campbell also put shots on goal, while Dallas Story finished with four saves in goal.
William Peace moves to 1-2 on the season and continues its road stretch Friday, Sept. 11, with a 2 p.m. match at Piedmont.
