MISENHEIMER, N.C. – William Peace women's volleyball opened USA South play with a 3-1 win over Pfeiffer on Thursday evening.
After dropping a close first set 28-30, the Pacers won the next three 25-21, 25-16 and 25-15. Peace finished with 54 kills and hit .325 as a team, including .571 in the third set. The Pacers also recorded eight service aces and eight blocks.
Jordyn Chinigo led Peace with a career-high 17 kills while hitting .600 and added five blocks. Madison Fisher finished with 10 kills on a .563 hitting percentage and two blocks, while Aaliyah Anderson added 10 kills. Aubrey Chesson recorded seven kills, and Macey Bowes finished with four blocks.
Emily Thompson recorded a team-high 27 assists and five digs, while Layla Farmer added eight assists and five digs. Jax Janecek led the Pacers with eight digs and two service aces, with Helayna Myers adding six digs and two aces.
The Pacers continue conference play at Methodist on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 1 p.m.
