Softball Falls in Midweek Doubleheader

RALEIGH, N.C. - William Peace softball dropped a pair of games to Meredith on Wednesday, moving to 13-10 overall and 2-4 in USA South play.

In the opening game, the Pacers were held to four hits in a 5-0 loss. Meredith struck first in the opening inning and added three runs in the third to build an early lead before extending it in the fourth.

Gracee Greer led the offense with two hits, while Reagan Stewart and Alli Bordwine each added a hit. Stewart took the loss in the circle, allowing five runs, four earned, while striking out six over seven innings.

In the second game, the Pacers battled in a low-scoring contest but fell 2-0 despite a strong outing from Kimberly Bordeaux.

Bordeaux went the distance in the circle, allowing two runs on six hits while striking out six. The Pacers recorded five hits in the game, with Kinley Jordan, Isabelle Olson, Taylor Byrd, Gracee Greer, and Caroline Burdsal each tallying one.

William Peace returns to action on Friday, April 3 with a road double header at Southern Virginia.
