ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - William Peace fell to NC Wesleyan 14-4 Saturday afternoon in USA South Conference action in Rocky Mount. The Pacers move to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in conference play.
NC Wesleyan built a 7-0 lead in the opening quarter before the Pacers got on the board in the second when Rebecca Boyle scored off an assist from Egypt Carroll. Carolina Atehortua added a goal later in the period to make it 10-2 at halftime.
Elise Langer led the Pacers with two goals in the third quarter, both coming on free position attempts. William Peace finished the game with 13 shots and seven draw controls.
Kylie McWhorter recorded four saves in goal for the Pacers.
William Peace will return home on Monday, March 9 when they host Pitt-Bradford at WakeMed Park. Opening draw is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
