RALEIGH, N.C. – William Peace women's volleyball split two USA South matches on Thursday, earning a 3-0 win over Southern Virginia before falling 0-3 to Salem.
Peace opened the day with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-23) sweep of Southern Virginia. The Pacers recorded 11 service aces in the match and held Southern Virginia to a .057 hitting percentage.
Aubrey Chesson led the Pacers with 11 kills, while Aaliyah Anderson finished with six. Lucy Bokenkroger added four kills and three blocks. Savannah Hairr recorded five service aces, and Emily Thompson finished with three aces and 11 digs. Layla Farmer added 13 assists and eight digs.
The Pacers closed the day against Salem, falling 0-3 (23-25, 23-25, 25-27). Peace finished with 38 kills, 74 digs and seven blocks.
Chesson recorded 10 kills, while Anderson finished with nine. Jordyn Chinigo and Olivia Smith each added eight kills, with Smith hitting .350. Madison Fisher finished with five blocks. Farmer recorded 18 assists and 11 digs, while Thompson added 14 assists, nine digs and three service aces. Gracie Payne also finished with 11 digs.
Peace continues conference play at home on Wednesday evening against Meredith College at 7 p.m.
