GREENSBORO, NC - The William Peace men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision on the road Saturday afternoon against Guilford College in non-conference action.
The Pacers (2-4) struggled to gain momentum in doubles play, dropping all three matches as the Quakers (4-6) secured the opening point. The closest doubles contest came at the No. 3 spot, where Angel Araiza and Michael Zang battled but ultimately fell 6-3.
In singles action, Carlos Correa earned the lone point for WPU with a straight-set victory at No. 5, defeating Guilford's Turner Johnson 6-3, 6-3. Michael Zang came close to adding another for the Pacers at No. 6 singles, pushing the second set before falling 6-4, 7-5.
The Pacers are back in action on Wednesday, April 9th as they visit Methodist University.
