MARSHVILLE, N.C. - The William Peace University golf team broke a school record while they captured the Wildcat Invitational Title, their second consecutive Team title so far in the 2025 spring season.
The Pacers took first place shooting +16 overall, with a 26 point gap between the first place winners and St. Andrews, being the largest gap in school history.
Leading the way for the Pacers was Ian Williams, who carded a +1 overall score, and composed a second round at 2-under par. Williams' consistency paced the team and placed him at the top of the individual performers.
Finn Howard followed closely behind at +2 overall, delivering a strong comeback with a 4-under second round—one of the best rounds of the tournament to place second. Jack Batts added a +4 finish, capped by a 3-under effort in the final round. Luke Dennis finished at +10, while Britt Laughinghouse rounded out the scoring for WPU at +15.
This gives the Pacers their second tournament title in a row, and they look to continue the momentum in their next match.
