BUENA VISTA, Va. - William Peace women's lacrosse dropped a tough road match up Saturday afternoon, falling 18-0 to Southern Virginia in conference play. The Pacers struggled to find rhythm offensively and were unable to convert on any of their shot attempts, while the Knights controlled the game from the opening draw.
Southern Virginia set the tone early, scoring eight goals in the first quarter and never looking back. Despite a strong effort in goal by Aryal Brandon, who tallied eight saves, WPU was unable to slow down a balanced SVU attack.
The Pacers were held scoreless despite a few opportunities in transition and three draw controls from Elise Langer.Â
The loss drops William Peace to 1-3 on the season and in conference play. The team will look to regroup and bounce back in their next outing as they continue the USA South schedule.
