RALEIGH, N.C. – The William Peace University women's lacrosse team fell to conference rival Meredith College on Wednesday afternoon, suffering a 23-0 defeat. The Avenging Angels came out firing, scoring 12 goals in the first quarter and never looking back.
William Peace struggled to find an offensive rhythm, managing just one shot on goal throughout the contest. Goalie Aryal Brandon faced heavy pressure in goal but put up a strong effort with nine saves despite the loss.
The Avenging Angels dominated possession, securing 23 draw controls compared to William Peace's two. Meredith also forced 21 turnovers while limiting their own to just six.
William Peace (1-2, 1-2) will return to action looking for a strong response in their next match up this Saturday, March 22nd.
