RALEIGH, N.C. - Senior Mike Dulin was honored before the game tonight for surpassing 1,000 points in his Pacer basketball career. Mike joins 3 other Pacers who also achieved this milestone.
Tonight's USA South conference match up came down to the wire as Greensboro pulled away 63-61 in the final minutes of play.
The Pacers led 61-60 with 1 minute left to play. Greensboro's Patrick Mallott's and-one field goal gave the Pride the lead with 10 seconds to go.
William Peace could not score on the final play of the game. The Pacers drop to 2-10 overall.
"Great battle tonight" WPU Head Coach Claude Shields said, "Just one possession short. Our young group will continue to fight and get better every day. A lot for us to build on as we head into this road trip!"
Mike Dulin led the squad with 19 points, 15 of them on 3-pointers. Parker Hodgson finished with 12 points and 3 assists.
The Pacers will head to Staunton, Virginia on Friday, January 10th to take on Mary Baldwin in another USA South conference match up at 6 PM.
