RALEIGH, N.C. - William Peace University fell short in their game against Pfeiffer University, with a final score of 83-54 at the Hermann Athletic Center in Raleigh, N.C. Despite the loss, several Pacers players made notable contributions.
Alayna Randolph led the team with an impressive double-double, scoring 19 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, and going 6-for-8 from the free throw line. Brene'a Daye contributed 8 points and 3 rebounds, while Allye Woodruff put up 8 points and 2 rebounds.
The Pacers rebounded well, finishing with 37 compared to Pfeiffer's 29. However, turnovers became costly, as they committed 29 which lead to significant points off turnovers for Pfeiffer.
"We did not get the result we wanted or needed tonight for conference play, but Saturday is another opportunity for us." Head Coach Annalee Bollinger said after the game. "We will have to come together and play a lot harder against a good Brevard group if we want to get a win."
While the result didn't go their way, William Peace can build on Randolph's standout performance and their rebounding efforts as they prepare for their next match up against Brwevard College this Saturday, January 25th.Â
