RALEIGH, N.C. – William Peace Athletics is proud to announce on Monday that Kara Molnar has been promoted to Head Athletic Trainer. Molnar was previously the Associate Athletic Trainer when she joined the Pacers' staff in 2021.
"Kara has done a tremendous job as our Associate Athletic Trainer and we are thrilled to promote her to lead our Athletic Trainers," Athletic Director Claude Shields said. "Her focus is to provide great care and support for our student-athletes and we are excited to see this continue to grow!"
In her previous role as Associate Athletic Trainer, Molnar worked closely with the softball, women's soccer and women's basketball programs. She earned her certifications in QPR Gatekeeper Instructor, Mental Health First Aider and Safe Zone Training at WPU. As Head Athletic Trainer, Molnar will oversee 21 sports.
Prior to her arrival at William Peace, Molnar was the Graduate Assistant Trainer at the University of La Verne, where she received her Master's in Health Administration in 2021. She graduated from William Paterson University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training with a minor in Health Studies.

"I would like to thank Claude Shields, [Associate Athletic Director] Danielle O'Leary and the Athletic Training Staff for believing in me and giving me this opportunity to help grow the department. I look forward to implementing my core values in this role of Head Athletic Trainer and to show my commitment to my student-athletes' overall health and well being."
