Brylski Surpasses 1,000 Career Assists at Marlin Invitational

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Junior setter Maegan Bryski surpassed 1,000 career assists in William Peace's volleyball season opener on Friday.

Brylski reached the milestone in a three-set loss (19-25, 19-25, 21-25) to Virginia Wesleyan on the first day of the Marlin Invitational. She hit the landmark in the second set on her way to 19 assists in the match.

She entered the season with 992 assists combined at William Peace and her previous school Dubuque. Needing eight assists, Bryski had nine after the second set. The Pacers' setter achieved the feat in 55 career matches.

Brylski added six digs and two aces against Virginia Wesleyan. Jordan Juanes led the Pacers with 10 kills and Vivian Camplin added 14 digs and two aces. Chassie Jacops and Jordyn Chinigo each had one block.

The Pacers were scheduled to face Marymount later Friday in the Marlin Invitational at 7 p.m.
